ZERO TOLERANCE FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT:

Soundalike strictly respects intellectual property rights. Creators are prohibited from uploading beats containing uncleared copyrighted samples, bootleg acapellas, or stolen compositions. We respond expeditiously to all valid, substantiated infringement notices complying with the US DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

1. Designated Copyright Agent

Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) and Article 16 of the Digital Services Act, all notices of alleged copyright infringement should be addressed to our Designated Copyright Agent:

SOUNDALIKE SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ
Attn: Copyright Agent & Legal Department
Address: ul. Władysława Jagiełły 6, Lublin, Poland
KRS: 0001271067 | NIP: 9462772753 | REGON: 545876990
Designated Email for Copyright Notices: contact@soundalike.io

2. How to Submit a Copyright Infringement Notice (Takedown Notice)

To be legally effective, an infringement notice must be submitted in writing and contain all of the following elements:

  1. Physical or Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of Copyrighted Work: Identification of the original copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., song title, registration number, or link to original published master recording).
  3. Identification of Infringing Content on Soundalike: The precise location of the contested material on Soundalike, sufficient to allow us to locate and verify it. Please provide the public beat link (for example https://soundalike.io/b/<shortId> ), the beat title, the creator's public display name, and/or the upload date. Soundalike does not publish private producer identities or contact details; therefore, a notice should reference the publicly available beat location rather than a personal producer profile.
  4. Contact Information: Your legal name, physical address, telephone number, and active email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (such as fair use).
  6. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Send your notice to: contact@soundalike.ioSubject: Copyright Infringement Notice - [Beat Name / URL]

3. Soundalike Response & Takedown Action

Upon receipt of a complete and valid Notice of Infringement, Soundalike will:

  • Expeditiously remove, disable streaming access to, or delist the identified audio track from the platform;
  • Promptly notify the Creator who uploaded the contested content and provide them with a copy of the infringement notification;
  • Inform the Creator of their right to submit a Counter-Notification under statutory procedures.

4. Counter-Notification Procedure (For Creators)

If you are a Creator and believe that your uploaded beat was removed or disabled as a result of mistake, misidentification, or that you hold valid sample clearance / licensing documentation, you may submit a written Counter-Notification to our Copyright Agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the beat that has been removed or disabled, and the location/URL at which it appeared before removal;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material (e.g., proof of sample purchase receipt or clearance contract);
  4. Your legal name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court in the Republic of Poland (Lublin) or the federal court for your judicial district if in the US, and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.

Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notification, Soundalike will forward it to the original complaining party. If the complaining party does not file a court action seeking an injunction within 10 to 14 business days, Soundalike may, at its discretion, restore the material to the Platform.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy (Ban Policy)

Soundalike strictly enforces a Repeat Infringer Policy. In appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, we will terminate and permanently ban user accounts associated with repeat copyright infringement.

Furthermore, any user who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing (or was removed by mistake) may be held liable for statutory damages, court costs, and legal fees under Section 512(f) of the DMCA and Polish civil law.
